Tiger Woods Apologize To School Parents

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Last time,Tiger Woods apologized to his wife, this time to parents of children at the preschool that his 2-year-old daughter attends, an Orlando television station reported Tuesday.

WFTV reported on its Web site that it has obtained a letter that Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren, wrote to parents of children attending Premier Academy to apologize for increased media scrutiny around the school.

Media coverage around Woods and his family has been intense since the Nov. 27 accident outside his home led to revelations that the world’s No. 1 golfer had been cheating on his wife. Tiger Woods did not make his first public appearance until Friday at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Woods’ wife did not attend his nationally televised appearance, and photographers were seen outside the Premier Academy that day. WFTV says an off-duty sheriff’s deputy has been hired to sit outside the school.

The station did not say when the letter was sent.

During his 13 1/2-minute statement, Woods lashed out at paparazzi for chasing after his family, including his daughter, Sam.

“However, my behavior doesn’t make it right for the media to follow my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter to school and report the school’s location,” Woods said. “They staked out my wife and they pursued my mom. Whatever my wrongdoings, for the sake of my family, please leave my wife and kids alone.” Otherwise, Woods have the support of his mother.

Woods thanks parents for their support and did not indicate he would remove his daughter from the school.

For Sam, that normalcy means attending the school that she enjoys so much.

A Golf School Vacation isnt Just for the Big Boys Anymore

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

A golf school vacation has become more than just a getaway for men who love the game of golf. Traditionally, golf had always been more or less a mans sport, but move over, men! Both women and children are jumping onboard the golf bandwagon, and there are golf school vacations that are designed with both of these groups in mind.

Just like a golf school vacation for adults, childrens golf school vacations include intense instruction from the worlds leading golfers, most of whom are PGA members and former tour champions. These package deals are designed with families in mind, since children cannot usually travel and stay in hotels on their own! Usually with these golf packages, everything that a junior golfer and his family could need is included, including dining, green fees, hotel accommodations, and oftentimes, small little extra incentives are included, maybe a free meal at the resort or a free extra session with a professional.

Many resorts that cater to childrens golf school vacations also have things like kids clubs and activities and nature tours, allowing the children to experience and appreciate the surrounding areas beyond the greens. They also might offer free transportation for families to nearby attractions or something like family golfing deals.

Other things that are usually included in the package deal price for golf school vacation are taxes and fees associated with the stay. Children are treated not as adults during a golf school vacation, but just as they are kids who want to play golf! Being such, resorts that host a golf school vacation understand well the need for children and their families to have plenty of options when it comes to things to do when the golfing is finished for the day. Activities that kids and their families would enjoy surround the golf resorts, such as shopping, dining, mini golf courses, in line skating, fishing, and plenty of playgrounds and play areas. There are frequently sightseeing attractions nearby as well, such as museums and points of interest.

When calling a golf resort for information about a golf school vacation, make sure to ask how many people a quoted price covers. Most often, the price associated with the golf school for children includes 2 adults and the junior golfer. For extra people or children who will not be participating in the golf school vacation, there are minimal extra fees. Reservations for golf school vacation programs are absolutely required; the schools need to know how many children will be participating, because there is a minimum number of kids required to go ahead and hold the school lessons.

If you have a child who is interested in playing golf, whether they be beginners or older, more advanced players, contact one of the great golf schools near your projected vacation destination and find out what they can do not only for your little golfers game, but for your familys vacation as well.

How to Get Golf on the School Curriculum Without Going to the Golf Course

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Children are exposed to a variety of sports from a young age at school, at after-school clubs and at school-holiday activity breaks. Trying a range of sports enables them to discover where their talents and passions lie.

But the range of sports being offered is hardly comprehensive and children arenâ??t really getting the chance to try everything â?? including one of the most important games that is even being considered for the next Olympics â?? golf.

The problem is that it is completely impractical to take kids en mass to a golf course, which means that golf is one sport kids all seem to miss out on as part of their physical education.

The solution then is to provide something that offers an indoor golf coaching system; something that feels real and that gives the children the opportunity to properly swing a club and take a shot, and then see how theyâ??ve done.

An indoor golf training aid that gives instant feedback would enable schools and sports clubs to introduce students to golf without even stepping outside the sports hall. It would need a scoring system to provide the opportunity to make the coaching competitive â?? very important where children are concerned because adding an element of competition always increases concentration and dedication.

Whatever golf coaching aid is chosen, it must be possible to use it safely in a confined space such as a sports hall. It must have a scoring system and give instant feedback so that it is ideal for schools and activity centres wishing to add golf tutoring to their curriculum. It will eliminate the need for trips to the golf course, and make the sport accessible to everyone at school, at the sports centre, at the gym or even at home.

Maybe the next leading lights in golf are in your class or members of your sports club? How will you ever know if you donâ??t give them the opportunity to try the game? Get kids playing golf â?? indoors in your sports hall â?? as part of the sports curriculum. Our future sports personalities may depend on it!
